HiP BLDC Control Platform
Launched in 2016, the HiP brushless motor control platform was SBD’s first 60V motor controller. Highly configurable, it supports multiple switch types, battery voltages, and power levels to drive more than 25 distinct 20V and 60V DEWALT power tools. HiP remains in production today, with an updated revision (HiPe) expanding compatibility across multiple battery platforms. Over 5 million units have shipped to date. The electronics were designed from initial concept through full production.
